Hi everyone!
My vision for Healthy Rhythm Art Gallery on the Gulf Coast didn’t work out like I planned. Due to zoning laws and local politics, the City of Gulfport would not allow live music events in the area where Healthy Rhythm Art Gallery was located. Yes, the realtor and the landlord knew what I wanted to do however, I was never informed of these very expensive obstacles until I was already there. After a long exhausting re-evaluation process, including much frustration and some dark days, I decided to return to Colorado, this time to the Boulder area. I made it back at the end of March 2026 and all live music and gallery items have been stored in a climate-controlled storage unit. I’m now in the process of researching the area for a new space for Healthy Rhythm, as well as a permanent place to live.
To the artists who are contacting me about performing and/or displaying at Healthy Rhythm Art Gallery, please hang tight and know you’re squarely on my radar screen. Slowly, but surely, we will soon have nationally/internationally touring musicians and other artists performing at a new venue. I’m very optimistic this version of Healthy Rhythm will be the best yet!
Right now I’m in the process of regrouping, recuperating, and researching. I’m very excited about growing Healthy Rhythm in and around Boulder, Colorado, an area that is very diverse and actively supports the Arts and Live Music. Sitting in a coffee bar at Community Market the other day the vibe reminded me of the years I lived in Santa Cruz. Just more people, cars, and more expensive. So, for now, please be patient and stay tuned for more exciting updates in the coming months!
Feel free to check out one-of-a-kind collectible prints and other artwork online at our Gallery Shop. Adding new items to the online shop is also a punch list item. You can also contact me via e-mail at healthyrhythm [at] gmail.com if you’re interested in something that’s not in the shop.
Thank you so much for your patience! Please know that I look forward to seeing old and new friends again soon.
Best,
Ken & Butters (d. 2025)
